Parking

Group parking is coordinated in the village of Low, Que. Carpooling to the river access in the manitou Bay (Martindale rd) happens from the main parking lot in Low, Que with help from staff.

Transportation / Logistics

From the river access, guests are ferried to the island in a 10 passenger pontoon boat by a licensed captain. Guests are left on the island with a canoe during their stay and can come and go to the mainland as they please. Generally with some paddling experience it takes around 30 minutes to paddle the 2 km trip to the shore where the main vehicles will be parked.  If additional ferry rides are needed, it can be organized for a fees.

Cell Phone Reception

Mostly there is good enough reception for cell phones on the island, to text, call, and check emails (with interruptions). Not efficient for streaming or video/internet calls. The best place for making calls are near the south facing windows downstairs or up the hill near the outhouse.

Drinking water

Drinking water is provided. Also the river water can be boiled and then consumed.

Propane for fridge and stove

Propane is provided.

Battery Charging Stations

Upon requests a battery charging station can be left for use of the group.

Noise and Quiet Hours

We ask guests to respected quiet hours between 11pm and 7 am. If alot of sound is involved for some retreats; special permission may be given. Please inquire within. Noise travels far on the water and good relations with neighbours are valued.
